But I'm convinced that it's still ok to have the revulsion regardless of how "human nature" this Internets thing seems to be.

Well, yes. Because here's what we get for the record.

Don't get your knickers in a bunch. Embrace it and work with it! Even the "old guard" in journalism will tell you so.
But...and this is the" Great Big But"....there's going to be factions. The tl:dr...issue to discount any "outrage?" The in-the-know "What issue?" "The masses are asses, yeah." [Heh, you're kidding me with that].
There's a bit of the Kent State thing on the "silly Internets" level.

I think I see what's going on...and I don't like it...this thing knows how to get to you.. Everything you believe is Nonsense...sense...sense...sense...
Listen, while you go to sleep, to this clip of the famous ZBS radio show, The Fourth Tower of Inverness (it's a *trip*):
https://www.zbs.org/catalog/audioSamples/FT.mp3
The Fourth Tower of...Inverness:
This classic story is filled with all kinds of teachings, from Ram Dass playing on the Wurlitzer of Wisdoms, to the Tibetan wheel-of-life, to Sufi stories, all woven into a humorous adventure taking place in an old mansion called Inverness. The mansion has three towers, but Jack Flanders has seen a fourth. When he finally enters the tower, he discovers there are various levels, and each level contains another world. Featuring Robert Lorick as Jack Flanders, Valerie Manches as Lady Jowls, Murray Head as Lord Jowls, and M. Fulton as Chief Wampum.
Ha. I listened to this and it made me what I am today in addition to Dark Shadows.

Streets that follow like a tedious argument
Of insidious intent
To lead you to an overwhelming question. . .
Oh, do not ask, "What is it?"
Let us go and make our visit.

More about how Dinosaur Jr. had their equiment stolen after a NYC gig when they were going about the second life in gig-time. That had to be so hard.
So. In honor of the executions, I feel the pain. On the other hand, I feel the pain of WTF?
Roman Colosseum. What do we say about this? Don't get me all saying, "that's just the way it is..."

This one is rather interesting...for a kind of rockish thing.

Understand the history of public execution and all that it means on the level.
However, I still can't get over the undertones.
So. Here's to the undertones.[youtube opGVdOIeuUQ&feature=fvst http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opGVdOIeuUQ&feature=fvst youtube]

Yeah, a few dollars (right, two or three) go a long way. When you've worked it, you always remember. Sure, there's a high turn-over rate, but still, there's another to take the spot.
