Also can relate. These days we have been working on Penny's COURAGE and when she achieves (or at the very least gives a good faith effort) something that we've been working very hard for, I tell her about how certain people will be very proud of her for her effort. So she has been experimenting with the use of PROUD and finding ways where it's applicable to use the word. The other day she told me that she was proud of me too.. And that too stopped me in my tracks.

I went to a favorite things party with my MOPS group at the end of the season.. It was so much fun! You may have inspired me to host one for my new MOPS table :)

You know you're a chicken mom when you read that as COOP not co-op. >.<

And I might be investing in this selfie stick.

I read Sarah's Key while on our trip to Europe, coincidentally. It is one of my favorite books! How I'd love to give my kids the opportunity to learn about world history through the eyes of another country.

I am no runner. Never will be. But seriously G, you PUSHED your kids in your monstrous stroller and ran while having to traverse around DOGS? WHO DOES THAT? Only super awesome motivated mamas like yourself. I would never be able to do that without kids, without dogs and even in the most perfect health. Big high five to you. And your looked fabulous.

Oh, and tell Jemma that Bianca thinks dogs are totally worth it, if I get to have a say ;) Especially medium - big sized ones. They're the best pals!

I'm working slowly towards allowing Penny independent space to work in. However, there have been several instances where crayon has ended up all over a couch cushion or on the window sill so I think I need to keep a closer eye on her ;) She has absolutely loved painting outside this summer and we've re-purposed her artwork as wrapping paper!

11 years ago @ That Mama Gretchen - Why I Nurse In Public · 1 reply · +1 points

I always feel so supported that when I'm nursing, that someone comes down and sits next to me. I was at a family reunion of sorts earlier this summer, with tons of cousins and aunts and uncles who we don't see very often. I settled myself into a quiet living room to nurse Ruby. A cousin calls out from the kitchen "can I come sit with you?" ...Sure! By all means! Keep me company. She comes over, smiles sheepishly and says "some people are just weird about it." Well cuz, I may be weird, but I'm not weird about talking to you while I'm nursing my babe :) Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Oh, and if you find a creamery that uses raw milk, TEXT ME STAT. I picked up a 1/2 gall of Guernsey raw milk last week from our produce stand and it's be a huge test of self control in only drinking a small glass at a time.. because it's sooooo good! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Old-Silvana-Creame...

LOL Adam never seems to understand why I have 50 billion 1/2 done projects laying around the house. Half finished laundry baskets, half finished dishes, half filled coffee cups.. And THIS POST explains WHY.

YUM, the first time I had a Monte Cristo was at Disneyland, prior to that I'd never heard of it! I attempted to recreate it during the tail end of my pregnancy with Ruby..alas, there was a lack of patience involved and it was sort of a flop. I'll be giving this one a try :) Challah sounds perfect!
