Yes, Liberals want to make so many things "key issues" - especially if they see votes in them.

Sadly for the British people, however, not only do they never consider the cost of their vote-buying pledges, but their anti-business penalisation, including excessive employee rights - makes it much harder for British businesses to stay viable.

I knew Tony. I would describe him as being honest and principled, but highly delusional.

Being intelligent doesn't mean that someone has the ability to use that intelligence in the best way possible.
For example : most politicians regularly make decisions that turn out to be mistakes - where-as others are able to see the errors politicians are about to make before they make them.

Why, for example, did Tory and Liberal Coalition partners make the unforgivable mistake in cutting NHS training budgets that resulted in Hospitals having to trawl the world looking for nurses, many of whom can't speak proper English, and be forced to use exorbitantly expensive agency nurses that is adding billions to NHS costs?

Simple mistake by "intelligent" people? Absolutely no excuse.

I believe that all Socialists, be they Liberal, Labour or faux Tory, are either mentally ill, delusional, corrupt - or a combination of all three.

I mean, how else would people who inflict irreversible damage on the British nation convince themselves that they are doing good for everyone, even the majorities who don't vote for them?

I point you to Farron's rant about the "refugees" - where he said - (not verbatim) - "Cameron doesn't speak for me, he doesn't speak for us [Liberals] and he doesn't speak for the country". When, actually, the majority of the British people are AGAINST allowing any more "refugees" into the UK.

It was £55 bln that they *borrowed* to give away.

Any bank manager worth their salt would come down hard on ordinary account holders for doing something similar.

Good job we don't say that about the Vikings, the Germans, the Russians, the Normans and the Japanese.

Yes, we should engage with China.

But we mustn't outsource our potential and mortgage or future prosperity with them.

I stand well and truly corrected.

Yes, British electricity and rail users will be paying high prices for years to pay back "Chinese investment".

Laurel and Hardy have learned nothing from Labour's catastrophic PFI program. Short-termism for electoral gain trumps the national interest.

Remember that Cameron has wasted the equivalent of over £55 bln on so-called "Foreign Aid" - the cost of two nuclear power stations.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

The worst part is that this isn't a strategy for moving away from European political and economic union - it is to have both.

How long before Chinese citizens have free movement rights in the UK?

Oh, have I offended a Labour voter?

No, tell me where I fit in. Then perhaps you might remember that Britain will never recover from 13 catastrophic years of Labour's maladministration.

A vicious circle of high taxation to fund tax credits. Kids who have been exempt from parental, legal and educational discipline - and where parents now call the police to deal with their unruly kids.
Our nuclear expertise gone - with us having to go cap-in-hand to Japan, China and France because we are unable to build power stations.

Unlimited immigration is out of control. The EU now effectively over-rule our own Parliament.

Single mothers are now everywhere. Benefits culture is now almost accepted as normal. Kids leaving school unable to read or write - with employers preferring to hire better educated EU nationals.

It just goes on and on.
