So, I'd never heard of these books, or Tamora Pierce (I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED), until last week when I checked the schedule to see what was coming up. I'd just got my Kindle, and I was deeply disturbed after finishing Duma Key by Stephen King (having a high temperature at the time probably didn't help matters). So I just bought Alanna and finished it late that night, immediately bought the second book, and by the following afternoon I'd finished the third one. I haven't read the last one yet, I'll probably wait until Mark gets there. So basically I'M REALLY EXCITED.

In the meantime, onwards with The Wise Man's Fear. I can't put it down!

I missed it yesterday, but most days I am Bus Drivers Not Sticking To Their Schedules Thus Making Me Late For Work Every Other Day. Also, related, People Who Have Not Discovered The Use Of Headphones And Force Everyone On The Bus To Listen To Their Preferred Music Even Though It's Forbidden.

I'M FINALLY ALL CAUGHT UP!

I wish I could have followed along on Sandman, but it was impossible! I still have to finish all the LOTR reviews though....

I can't even comment on this book, I read it a few months ago and it quickly occupied a place in my all-time favourite books list. I don't even know how to express my love for it.

To sum up: I AM SO EXCITED.

Moving on. I adore this chapter. A LOT. We get some answers, and a lot more questions.

Also, I am not ashamed to say that I know that poem by heart. Or that it was taped to the wall behind my desk for years.
