The Verizon iPhone will / would be a very big deal for a number of reasons, starting with: there are a whole lot of AT&T iPhone owners in big cities who have terrible problems with the voice and data network - lots of them are more than keen to switch over to Verizon. It also is huge deal for Apple and the success of the iPhone, as it is the biggest potential area of growth for the iPhone right now.

No. 3rd party file syncing services like Dropbox and Box.net would about the closest thing.

Yup - I think a lot of well-known titles are similar to this. Just very poor initial efforts in their iPad editions. Definitely need to step up their game a lot.

Even for a 1/4 of the price I think they should deliver more than a PDFed version of the magazine.

Sorry to hear you're dropping the feed. I honestly feel the iPad is an amazing device. I've done my share of posts criticizing Apple, the App Store etc as well - I don't feel as if I do too much fawning.

Nearly all the time it's in a case. It snuck out without clothes for a couple of pics, but that's not my habit with it.
