This is fantastic.....I just heard about it today and will be doing some more research. There is hope!

Good idea!   Clearly, a conflict of interest.

So many great comments! A lot to go through.
So far top on my list
1. Term limits (and eliminate any retirement benefits except Social Security)
2. Balanced budget act
3. Fair tax
4. Get federal government out of education and housing (later get them out of welfare and health care)
5. English only
6. Do not automatically grant children of illegals born here citizenship
7. Write all legislation (and regulations) in plain English at 12th grade reading level and allow at least five days posting for review before vote or signing

A couple of other things that I am struggling with
1. Only those paying taxes can vote -- not sure how to do this but those that are "in the wagon" should not have the same voice as those that are "pulling the wagon" and paying for everything
2. Requiring legislators to be present for all debate on legislation in order to vote on the legislation (unless they have a note from their doctor) -- Congress should be deliberating and "working" on any laws -- not darting in and out of the session between TV appearances
