Frankly, I think we need to realize that the fandom is made up of individuals, all with their own tastes and desires. We do not share one mind; some people like the Twilicorn thing while others don't. No matter what the show writers do, there's going to be someone out there that's not going to like what they did. Such is the burden of Larsen, McCarthy, et al.

I don't think there's anything wrong with disagreeing with something as long as we don't get too hot-headed about it. In fact, I think if you express your disagreements in a respectable manner, it goes to show that you're not a mindless drone that accepts everything blindly (*cough*americanpolitics*cough*). Also, every fandom, not just ours, does have its flame wars. In fact, didn't the Dr. Who fansite shut down when whoever played the 9th doctor announced he was leaving?

Also, there's the fact that she is one of the six masquerading ponies...

...along with Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity.

They're not going to throw in some random OC in a set where all the other ponies are the ones we all know and love without a reason. I'm thinking of the girls that will get this and wonder, "Hey! Look! Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity... who's this wierdo?"

I guess we'll see when season 4 comes out

Might as well throw my two cents in.

I don't want to see it in a show, but I wouldn't mind pony/human interaction in the comics. Especially if they cross it over with something like Doctor Who.

With seeing all the infighting here, I just have to remind myself that when they announced that Christopher Eccleston was leaving Doctor Who, they had to shut down the fan site for a couple of days from all that backlash.
