He's been up and once pitchers adjusted, he was unable to readjust and that's why he got sent down. Some players are just AAAA players. Too good for AAA but not good enough for the majors.

Minor league pitching is not near major league pitching. They're a lot more focused on developing certain pitches by calling for a lot of them rather than calling a mix of pitches to keep the hitters off balance. Winning the game is almost secondary to player development.

I agree with your core point, but this is not a great example of that. The BP policies serve as a better example and they did change those to avoid alienating the customers. This is what it is, a situation that the Yankees had zero control over.

I for one wouldn't abandon the team over their business practices. There is no way I would have an iPhone, service from Comcast or a bank account if I ditched companies over their business practices.

Sorry, Shelly Duncan is not a major league hitter. Throw him a breaking ball and you've got yourself an out. Long swing with many holes.

Additionally, Jackson has far less power than Soriano and plays a defensive premium position.

The Yankees are being run more and more like a business. Get used to it. Sure they could have loosened security during the game and let fans take empty seats, that would have been easy and appropriate in my eyes. But free tickets to another game? I don't think that's necessary.

That is very true. They could have opened it up.

In business, sometimes you don't go above and beyond because then people come to expect that. Sounds like exactly what's happened here.

It does make some sense though that since the rest of the season has extremely limited ticket availability, they can't honor that. It would be far worse for them to make the good gesture and then have to come back and say sorry we have no tickets left for you.

I might be coming from left field, but why do the Yankees need to compensate people for what the weather does?

The game I want to in May I had 8 different pictures taken. I don't think they really care. Every single time the photographer asked if we wanted a picture.

Per the Johnny Rockets web site, they call them American Fries. Doesn't seem like the Yankees are behind the naming.

I bought the Batter's Eye tickets at face value for Old Timers Day. With decent bleacher tickets running $50+ the $125 for the unique viewpoint really wasn't that tough to take. Plus it's my friend's birthday so he counted it as his gift.
