No, not FBA warehouses. FBA prep centers.

I don't stress too much about my FBA business (unless it involves my account health) and it provides me a reasonable income so I am happy to continue it.

Great job. That's exactly what I wasn't able to take advantage of but if you can do it, it can make your month or more.

My understanding was that you needed to use margin funds to purchase stocks/investments in the market. I'm not sure if you can use those funds for amazon purchases but could be you can.

My prep service is run through s UPS store. It used to not count as shipping and then I called up American Express and ever since then it's been counted as shipping.

So after looking at the math, I still hold strong with the other cards at my level of spending. As I showed I am getting more than 3% cashback. The Simply cashback gets a straight 3% cashback. At lower levels of spending the AmEx is the way to go. Thanks again for reminding me though.

Oooooh, I forgot about that card. I even have 4 of them for office supply purchases :) I will have to redo the calculations. Thanks!

Do you get the 3% on $50k of shipping purchases in addition to 5% on $50k of office supply purchases or only on one of them?

I was picking a random marginal rate, not my actual rate but you also have to consider state taxes as well, not just federal.

Effective rate is not what you choose for this. If you made $100k for the year and then have a deduction of $1k it is like you made $99k that year. That $1k comes off at the marginal rate not the effective rate.

Thanks, I live out of the country and for now there is no Uber here but good point. I will add to the post.

Yes, you are completely right and I left that out. I will add. Doesn't change the long term implications but definitely helps for short term.

While that is true, I would not want to go with that for a number of reasons.

1) Cash Back rates will be matched when offered by the following Cash Back websites; Befrugal, Ebates, Gocashback, Mr Rebates and shopathome.

It doesn't work on every site

2) You could get denied for a reason you don't realize

3) What's the benefit? Just use the site which has the better rate. While I get not having to log in to multiple sites and keep track of asking for earnings from multiple sites, the money doesn't expire and you are far less likely to run into problems this way. It adds one layer of complication but I think it's worth it here considering that guarantee also adds a layer complication.

Shop at Home used to match 110%, that was worth it! I miss that!

I don't use all of the portals, but if it is one of the ones the reliable ones I will use whichever one is the best.
