There we go, always read the paperwork, good lad. No way that he'd volunteer for a role that would kill him without knowing what he was doing!

So, this is. A thing. That I read. I don't dislike it, but I'm not sure that I like it, either. The cannibalism was interesting but distasteful. Also there are a couple plot holes... Why could Mamvish hear her brother after eating someone who ate the person that ate him? She didn't hear the voices of any other people who'd been eaten by the people she ate. It's cute, but it doesn't make sense.

Also, she spends, what, decades? centuries? questing to fix Wimst, and as soon as she gets her powers, she... goes somewhere else to fix another world? What happens to Wimst? Are her people still eating each other in the present?!

She didn't get her powers from eating the Planetary--he petitioned thr Powers for her to be a wizard, then let her eat him. Not saying that that's less weird, just feels like an important distinction.

I was going to say like Kirby. Like you take Kirby and mix it with Skyrim and you get adorable little cannibal Mamvish.

It was about a year in Earth time, yeah, but the "three sun rounds" would've been in Wellakhit time. Perhaps Wellakh travels around Thahit faster than Sol does around Earth.

Ohhhhhh, that explains a lot.

You remember I said my theory for GWP was based partly on a Yuletide tag that I read accidentally? The tag was "Roshaun's clone." My running theory was that Penn was a vessel that had, for whatever reason, been created to house Roshaun when the sun ate him, and that his memories of exisiting before then were fabricated. That would have been an interesting story, but I like this version better. Poor little Rho clone. They're both so brave!

Aw crud, I was afraid of that. I bet it's both who are Overshadowed; they're psychically-linked clones, it would make it easy for the LP to manipulate both. Also, I don't think that that makes their first interaction less genuine? The LP might have made them get separated and the nudged Avseh toward the sun observation area, but she really would've died without Rho. (So it'd be a win for the LP either way; either the wizard would let an innocent die, or he'd be pulled into Its trap.)

(Just think, if Rho hadn't passed his Ordeal, then no one would've noticed that the Earth's sun was wonky, and, if the rest of the gang survived that, they would've failed to rescue the Hesper without Roshaun's rad sun/lava spell.)

Given that Roshaun's people live much longer than we do, I suspect Dairine might not even be born yet!

Oh sweet precious baby Rho. Now he's happy and I still want to give him a hug and a lollipop and a bff. (Imagine if this Rho met Dairine on her Ordeal. It'd be beautiful and terrifying.)

"Poor sweet baby" is not a phrase I thought I ever be applying to Roshaun, but it's just a want to give him a hug and a lollipop.
