A shout out to theo2010. Be careful about your regrets that your parents were early adopters of the Dr Spock philosophy.

My parents were NOT and were strong advocates of a good spanking when needed. Anne's illustrations vividly bring back memories of how it was in my family back in the 1950's and 60's. The hairbrush and the strap saw plenty of action spanking or whipping the heinies of 3 kids when necessary.

I hated spankings and remember being in my room after a spanking, still crying, and wishing that the hairbrush had never been invented! LOL

But now? I have such fond memories of those childhood spankings that I hated so much, and loved coming to the BBB site to reminisce.
