When you work with wild animals you cannot lose sight of the fact that they are undomesticated and will always have wild tendencies. With all the other attacks over the years I'm pretty certain these folks accept the risks associated with their jobs. Sad for the family. I'm certain Tilikum's back-up trainer will be taking center stage in the show by the weekend. The whale in question probably will be sidelined for a while while they try to figure out what set him off but no doubt he'll be performing again like it never happened.

This same whale drowned his trainer of 10 years back in 1991 and is also the same whale who they found the dead man in his tank in 1999. So yes I"m guess that "The Show Must Go On" and will despite this latest death.

This is one reason why The HSUS is constantly encouraging summer vacationers to avoid marine parks: Visitors only help perpetuate this grim illusion—that orcas and dolphins are perfectly content living alone, performing in tanks that can never recreate their natural environment.

Ok a challenge to each of you "top of the food chain, real men eat meat" folks. In addition to watching Food Inc and learning exactly how manipulated our foods are by gov't policy and how unsafe our meat supply in particular is (don't get me started on the fact that the jobs in those slaughter houses are advertised in Mexico or the fact that INS turns a blind eye when it comes to the slaughterhouse workers, grrr) or the environmental damage factory "farms (yeah that's a joke to call them that) do to the environment, if you can sit through If Slaughterhouses Had Glass Walls and still feel nothing looking at those blobs of flesh you are about to consume then more power to you. NO I'm not vegan or even vegetarian and definitely not into PETA but I am now a Conscious Consumer.

OMG how could I forget about Daughtry?!!! Yes AI thank you very much for Chris Daughtry and I also forgot about Jordan Sparks. Not crazy about Carrie myself but no doubt she has a HUGE following. Yes American Idol did give us some major talent as well as some laughs along the way especially during the auditions. I will miss it.
