I don't know that military families are setting themselves up for such difficult circumstances. Life happens. There is no guarantee that they will be hurt and there's no guarantee that they won't. Same goes for anyone that isn't going off to war. If this couple wanted to have this many kids, there isn't one thing wrong with that. We all sometimes need help and I think for the sacrifice this family (and many others) has made, we should help in what ever way we can.
I think quality of the education is what needs to be fixed. We have some fantastic teachers in this State, let them teach! I actually homeschool, my kids spend about 4.5 hours a day on their schoolwork, going the same number of days public schooled kids do, and they are both a grade ahead of where they would be in public school. Adding more days or hours per day isn't going to fix the problem (kids still need to be kids, let them have their summer).... instead, get back to teaching facts, keep beaurocricy out of the schools and let the teachers teach!
Oh, watching other clips of this protest, uh, there was way more than "thousands". Hopefully the people in WA DC are paying attention.
All those opposed can spout out that these protesters weren't around criticizing Bush. Some may not have, but I certainly did and I know many of the current protesters are Democrats themselves, funny how the news doesn't show any of that. I went to a tea party and met many Democrats there protesting this admins spending. This is so far beyond Dem and Rep. Bush started this process and Obama is speeding it right along. Boo to them both. Also, those who oppose should stop calling those that do- brainwashed and stupid, when there is video proof of the very things they are protesting for, when there are people who are out there actually reading these bills and seeing the wasteful spending in them. Do your homework people and find the truth for yourself and stop the name calling. Grow up already.
No way would I leave any of my kids alone with their doctor. I totally trust their doctor and think she is fabulous, however, she's not their parent. There shouldn't be a more secure person to talk to than a parent. My tween is completely comfortable with me being in the room and usually asks me all the questions before we even get there. The doctor pretty much confirms what I've already said. Don't give away such a special time of bonding to the doctor, help your child feel comfortable talking to you. I think Good Housekeeping got this one wrong, don't give away any of your parental rights.
THE CONSTITUTION STATES, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Both the free exercise clause and the establishment clause place restrictions on the government concerning laws they pass or interfering with religion. No restrictions are placed on religions except perhaps that a religious denomination cannot become the state religion
Separation of Church and State - The Metaphor and the Constitution "Separation of church and state" is a common metaphor that is well recognized. Equally well recognized is the metaphorical meaning of the church staying out of the state's business and the state staying out of the church's business. Because of the very common usage of the "separation of church and state phrase," most people incorrectly think the phrase is in the constitution. The phrase "wall of separation between the church and the state" was originally coined by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to the Danbury Baptists on January 1, 1802. His purpose in this letter was to assuage the fears of the Danbury, Connecticut Baptists, and so he told them that this wall had been erected to protect them. The metaphor was used exclusively to keep the state out of the church's business, not to keep the church out of the state's business.
Thank you for posting---well said!!!! I liked your point that the people against the war that were protesting, where are they now? Obama is following the same course of action Bush did and all those protesters, what happened to them? Seems like it really wasn't about the war, it wasn't about supporting our troops, they just didn't want a Republican in the WH and that's all they could come up with to cry about.
well, our state is actually lacking in "good Christains", it's not just them that might be against this. I know some Christians that think it's a good idea. There are many other religious groups in this state that disagree with gay marriage and many people that hold no religion affility, disagree too. Why blame it all on Christians---just seems like the popular thing to do.
The fact that some people on here that are calling him hateful, a liar, a racist, it's obvious you have never watched his show or heard him on the radio. I challenge those of you calling him names, to actually watch his show for a least a week, see that he backs up just about everything with video or audio, you'll see he's a person with a passion about his country. He's someone doing research, reading bills, doing the things that those who complain don't do. You can't argue that he's lying when he shows the actual clips of people, saying in their own words, the very thing he said they said.
Instead of name calling and making obvious assumptions, why don't you compare his show with other networks. See who else is backing everything up with actual proof--you won't find much. And by the way, all you calling him hater and other names, are you reading what you yourself wrote? Not much "tolerance" there, but alot of your own hate.
