Atticus: We are all happy that they have been released. We just wonder at what price? Whatever price there is, it will effect Americans for years to come.
We already know one price is that with the visit of a former president, the North Koreans now have some credibility. Kidnapping Americans has paid off for them. The Iranians and other American enemies now know that kidnapping Americans pays off literally and figuratively. NOT a wise message to send.

Old Marine: I agree with all of your points. The libs ultimate goal is to turn this country into a European style socialist country. However, their motivation is self preservation fueled by ego. What better way to ensure that you stay in power than to create a country of victims who constantly turn to you to fix their lives?

Over the past many years, as I've studied American history and politics, I've learned one lesson above all. Ego and self preservation are at the heart of politicis. Even the Founding Fathers fell victim to their own egos at times but the Dems of the past 10 years have taken ego and self preservation to a stratospheric level.

I've talked to his office a lot. Got on his constituent conference call last week where most of the questions were about the health care bill. He's one of the people Dick Morris calls a blue dog democrat who is sticking to his guns. It's rare but he is bucking his party for a change. Fortunately.

The Obamaites should be ashamed of themselves but they are not! They say one thing and do another. How any of them can look themselves in the mirror is beyond me. I take comfort is knowing that their term will be brief.
