Because it's not in December.

Michigan Tech is honoring and will continue to honor the University's commitment to past and present MPSERS. The issue is that Tech has to pay for employees who have never been in MPSERS and could never be in MPSERS, taking a huge bite out of already low state appropriations, costs that end up having to be passed on to students.

The researcher, Elena Semouchkina, responded: "This video was about a week ago sent to many people who publish in the field of metamaterials. It's nothing."

Not necessarily. One Tech graduate from India whom I know was hired by a company in Indiana that not only helped him get a green card, but has helped his whole family come to the US as well. I'd say it's case by case, and clearly there are employers who are eager enough to hire Michigan Tech grads that they will help them become permanent residents.

The course is taught partly by distance-learning technologies (audio and video) and partly in person by Michigan Tech faculty who travel to Detroit to conduct classes and hands-on labs.
