I don't think you are stupid. And I think there have been irrational and inappropriate comments from both sides of the argument here. Thank you for your reply. My next question to you would be, who designed the designer? A God who designed the world that we live in would have to be infinitely more complex than his/her creation. Therefore it is more likely that the Universe "just exists", than it is that a God capable of such a creation "just exists". It seems only fair to apply the same criteria you apply to evolution to your God. If God created Earth, then who created God?

Atheism is not a religion, or a belief. It's a lack of belief. What the advertisement is saying is essentially "don't let the church scare you into anything - there is no evidence for their claims, and there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that refutes them".

So your opinion is that nothing can exist without a prime mover, and that something must have created our universe, the planet we live on, and everything in it (including us)? I'm in no way trying to cause trouble, I'm just trying to get an honest perspective on the other side of the argument.
