My first time back to the blogs for several months! sometimes life just has a different plan in mind then what WE have in mind! But I am so glad to get back to my normal activities (Blog Cabin, Dream Home, Urban Oasis). My husband finally talked me into working less hours, and I am spending more time for me! I am spending more time with my grown children and all those grandkids they have given me. I came back to Blog Cabin just in time to be involved in this fabulous location! ^_^
Ok Virginia darlin', I am ready for something more, as I am sure most of the rest of the bloggers out there, are. Please, must we beg? Lol. I know you are busy on other projects, but throw us a bone here....actually that would be for my doggie. I just want another thread. Pretty please?
Oh Eugenia27, you are so right. Since I can a lot of my garden, and my husband is a hunter/gatherer, we do well during any outage. We have a generator and a camp stove with bottles of propane just in case. My grown children have laughed, but they would be the first to show if an outage lasted more than one, two days! lol Bless them...
i also keep water on hand, but also some non perishable foodstuffs. My motto..you can never be too prepared. Lol. Besides, with all that can happen with the weather, you never can tell when your preparedness will come in handy.
I love the whole kitchen/great room. I can see my family gathered here while my daughter and daughter in laws help me cook for our crowd. No matter how great the rest of this house is, the kitchen is always where we will end up, though my husband and sons will more likely be in the basement a great deal pf the time!
I would be pleased with any of these locations, but my dream has always been a cliff in northern CA over looking the ocean. I love Mendocino. Hint hint :)
Clue sometime soon please..... :(
Carley, my biggest question (concern) is..can lights be turned on manually, televisions be used with just the remote, the window treatments be opened/closed without the tablet or smartphone? My mom visits often and is not tech friendly. :( which is an understatement). Would this home work for someone like her? I have notice that there are what appears to be light switches on some of the walls, but can't find info on the window shades.
I have been gone from these blogs for a long time, but I do see some of the "oldies" ;) on here yet. Wow a boat with this one! Very excited! It's good to be back.
I'm the first today? I haven't been here in a few months and I do love this home. The plunge pool looks inviting but I'm a little worried..I have small grandkids and they love the pool we have now, but this one doesn't look safe for children. Even with the adults out there, it is worrisome. But that will be to figure out once someone wins. Can't wait for more!
