It's around the time a lot of US networks start launching new seasons of shows, and I guess WWE thought it might be a good way to make this RAW seem more important what with the NFL starting back up.

See, this is why I think the Shield turn worked fairly well. All they really did was change who they'd attack and do less 3 on 1 beatdowns. Their role kinda switched from bully to underdog but their demeanour didn't really change.

Release the Network in the UK and Canada already. That'll produce you a lot more subscribers.

So they can have veterans working with the development talent which the girls in NXT can learn from, and they need some main roster talent around to legitimise the development guys.
Plus, putting an established name on the show means more people will consider giving it a watch.

Really don't get the hype with Sheamus. At least if he does turn heel I'll be expected to hate him.

see, this is the problem with the WWE hotshotting the belts around and why I'm glad there's only one world title again. You should never be able to say "just a two-time world champion". Countless legends never got to be world champion once.

This exactly. It doesn't sound to me like he's doing it to "spite" the WWE. More that he isn't going to get to do what he wants, and as he doesn't need the money, he doesn't really see a reason to stay around right now.

I think it gets better ratings technically over here, as RAW is on Sky paid cable while I believe you can get Challenge which shows TNA on frreeview.
However a good deal of that is because of the time WWE is shown live, and i'd be surprised if significantly more people weren't streaming WWE from the UK.
In short, it's pretty popular and does alright in arenas i think but generally speaking WWE is still much larger, and outside of fans of the current product the man on the street is still much more likely to know WWE guys etc than TNA ones.
I've seen a few bars do events for some of the big WWE PPVs but never anything for TNA so while it's doing alright and might technically be beating WWE in some areas, by and large WWE's still the far bigger and more well known organisation.

It's in Manchester next week. Maybe that's where you're confused.

How about in future we build the SummerSlam undercard over the what, 6 or so hours of wrestling we have each week in the month before the event?
