I don't come here to have conversations with people. I come here to see that, hey, you know what, I am not the only one who thinks like this. Today, in life, it is really difficult to watch the rest of the country think it is a good idea to head down the road of bankruptcy or destruction. So when I am so frustrated, I need to come here and read a few posts by people who are also frustrated. And it helps make me feel better!
Perhaps others want something more, and there is a few ways to communicate with other members, like following someone specific, or joinging a blog or organization outside of this site but was founded by other members. Both of which I have done.
If that is not why you are here, then don't come.

Obama clearly bowed.
With that said, I am not so greatly offended by it. Perhaps it wasn't the best thing to do, but it is a respect thing, I think nothing more.
My problem is that the White House refuses to tell us that it was a bow. Essentially, the administration is trying to say that we are all stupid if we think this. Come on now. They are staring at us and telling us a bold faced lie.
Why? Why lie about something so stupid?
This makes whatever little confidence I may have had with the administration disappear.
When a person (or administration) lies about something so small, how can I believe they will not do it for major things.

Again, saw this in a book I am reading, and thought it was telling of our times today, so I wanted to share.

I came across these quotes in a book I am reading, and it made me instantly think of our 9-12 project, and wanted to share. I know we have the quotes on the home page, but haven't seen these yet.

What is accomplished by thinking or preaching about things that are false or don't matter?
Obama's birth certificate is not a concern to most reasonable people. It is just another slam at a man who is disliked. Remember there were lots of people on the other side spouting the same things about McCain, and Republicans thought it was ridiculous then. Lets not be hypocrites.
This is about US, the American public, not the illusionists of Washington.

Not a single person in this project agrees with everything each other says, including Glenn. Or at least I hope so. No one is perfect, no one has the same thought. Same principles or morals, sure, but we all have our own brains.

I always search for information on a person by finding the opponents comments. Certainly those comments are so anchored in fact and never misquoted or cherry picked.
I am really glad to hear that you work for Jesus, while Glenn, and the rest of us quakes work for Satan. I mean, I know how much Jesus appreciates your judgement of people HE DIED FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you know the COURAGE to work for nothing, just like our Congress.....oh wait..... not our Congress, just the people our Congress deems worthy of working for nothing, well....ADD.....I mean $1 a year, sorry for the exaggeration. And the COURAGE to take responsiblity for the bills they write, like Senator Dodd, what a swell guy, what an outpouring of courage.... standing up and taking credit for.........oh wait, he did like my six year old and blamed his comrade, at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Sorry, my mistake.
I am so grateful for those Congressional heros of ours, they are such a role model, the EVIL OIL could learn a lot from them!

Those nice fella's at OPEC have nothing to do with my heat bill. I bet the evil oil companies are behind the whole global warming, Oh wait, I mean climate change, thing, because this way they can charge more money by saying it is to make the world a Greener Place. In fact, silly us, don't we see them creating all the snow this year to force us to turn on the furnace! Those EVIL EVIL OIL EXECS.
These EVIL, hopeful, thrifty guys, you know, all the back door deals, oh wait...... that's Congress, sorry I must have ADD, I was just trying to remember who decided pay, is it the SHAREHOLDERS or CONGRESS?
All these EVIL OIL execs who think themselves Godlike, making speeches in front to Roman Columns and making trips around the world to hear chants of......Oh wait, that was a presidential candidate. (sorry, ADD)
Oh the HUMILITY... sorry, humanity. (ADD again)
The Evil Oil execs should take a hard look at our leaders as inspiration when it comes to sincerity and charity.

In fact, you should embrace the fact that you are an athiest.
However, I find it frightening that so many people think that because they do not agree with the second principle on this list, they feel the need to ask it to be taken off the list.
I respect that you do not believe in a God. Just as I respect all those who do believe in God.
I think it is great for you to disagree with both #2 and #5, but I do not think it is ok to ask this site to delete it from the principles because people disagree with it.
I hope you do not take my wishfulness of tolerance as an attack against those who do not believe in God. That is not the case, in fact, I am not sure I believe in a God either, I want to, but I am not sure. I just believe it the right of this project to have opinions that are not completely adhearing to my life or the life of everyone else.
