Taqiyya or Kitman are legitimate weapons in Islam.

I believe most of the demonstrations were by Han people. Nevertheless, many of the Muslims in Sinkiang were probably form Tadzikistan, and the flag is representative of Tadsikistan. So it is more than likely an Islamic movement to exert pressure for part of Sinkiang to be ceded to join up with Tadzikistan. This Muslim sect seems to be more closely related to the Iranians than to Turkey and is part of the Islamic Umma.

Hesperado, YES! It applies to ALL ORTHODOX MUSLIMS because it is the "WORD OF ALLAH."

However, those who do not accept it are technically either "Apostates" or are practising "Taqiyya."

I am sure Robert Spencer and Pam Geller are fully aware of these facts. I have no direct access to these two individuals or I would gladly link them to my articles. No doubt they will have spotted my Knols as it is available in Google Search Engine. But let me assure you Hesperado, I am no less informed about Islam as anyone else who visits the internet. None of my Knols on Islam have been challenged on religious doctrines and one such Knol is about to have its 1,000 visitor without serious religious criticism:

Wellington, I assume you are American as I am British. What is important is to let everyone know the driving forces in the different ideologies in this world and whether it is a threat or an asset to our own survival.

Islam is an entirely culture to that of the Judeo-Christian culture as has been illustrated. Whether we are prepared to submit to Islam or are unwilling to submit is a matter for individual choice. But the choice should be made based on knowledge of that culture. That is what I am trying to do here, to disseminate information on the differences in the philosophies of the dominating cultures. But the choice must be made by people themselves. To make assumptions would be a big mistake.
