This bill is another example of the odious hairy Reid rewriting a house passed tax bill and transmuting it into some it wasn't before, just as he did with the Patient Taxation and Unaffordable Noncare Act of 2010, AKA ObamaDon'tCare.
By the Constitution, Tax Laws are to originate in the House of Representatives. The Bill passed by the House, HR 8, American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, was voted on and passed back in August, then sat in the Senate until grabbed by the beastial claws of Reid, gutted, and entirely reworded into this bill that was voted on and passed in the early morning hours today.
Question is, will Boehner do anything about it?
Probably not.

"Akeem immediately realized his mistake, Mekenye said, but could not turn the truck around on the bridge and was forced to cross the border."
He should have stopped while still in US territory, blocking the bridge, and told the US authorities he screwed up, and accepted the ticket or fine or arrest. This would have been better than travelling into Mexico with ammunition.

Please bear with me. I just finished reading another column about "Slut-Gate" at Big Journalism, and switched over to this site. It occurred to me that maybe there should be another "Big" site, Big Piece dot com, which could specialize in stories about all the political [double ewe aitch owe are eee esses] out there, and how they effect our culture, politics, economy, and so forth.
Too bad about Rush. He got played.

I don't disagree with Mr. Fox, but I think the bulk of our debt, at least that which is in the form of Treasury Notes and Bills, is owed to US programs such as Social (In-)Security and Federal employee retirement plans.

Has anyone else noticed that these photographs of moo-slums with their effigies of the obysmal won always display them with a stick shoved up his fundamental orifice? The picture shown at the beginning of this column is similar, in that way, to another photo displayed recently.

John Hayward had a good article at Human Events yesterday: http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=49752
The Soylent Green Energy Initiative
I’m from the government, and I’m here to kelp you.

He also included a link to a real scientists article: http://wavefunction.fieldofscience.com/2012/02/en... , The Nonsense Of Bio Fuels, which might be a little heavy in places, but points out the futility of generating significant amounts of energy by using photosynthesis.

I am in favor of using the Bio-Fuels that we have been using for millenia, Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Coal. These were created by the grace of God over eons of time, concentrated in the Earth for us to discover and use.
I also recommend the use of another bio-fuel, wood, to light wood stoves and fireplaces, and of course to smoke delicious meats.
