If Obama wants to look at the Cayman Islands he should be looking why businesses want to do business there so that he can copy it and bring the businesses back to america and put americans back to work. There tax system there is also a simple 10% sales tax. Here is a little website to give you some information on the cayman's.

DOD Ends Sale of Expended Military Brass to Remanufacturers
In short the govt. plans on paying someone to shred the brass bullet casings instead of selling them to a remanufacturing company making the cost of ammunition go up and also is gonna cause some layoffs to the company.

Be it I'm just a country boy from Tappahannock, Va but the only way I see to strengthen the banks is to buy up these bad mortgages (homes with people in them first) using taxpayer money and/or investors. The govt. shall then have local real estate offices rent these dwellings back to those individuals for 1/2 their current mortgage. If they still can't afford to rent and stay in these homes they will be left no choice but to find another place to live. (sorry) A new renter will then be found to occupy that dwelling till the day comes that it shall be sold for more than what dwelling was bought from the banks for.
The only stipulation I see is that the banks do have to forgo any and all interest payments on the mortgages. We the taxpayers need some kind of deal to take this risk off their hands. I just think if we are gonna give money away I want something in exchange for it.

does anyone think this could work.

1. A national sales tax (fair tax) of no more than 10% for the federal govt. (state and local can set their own up to another 10% combined)
2. Abolish the IRS as we know it ....no more complicated filings....K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid ....10,000 IRS employees tops to audit the states...the states audit the counties/cities, the counties/cities audit their businesses
3. Mandatory 8 hour work day in jails/prisons across america 6 days a week. The object of this is to take the tax burden of criminals off the american people and to give companies some cheap labor for U.S. made products. No work equals no TV, no play time, no anything. Some money can be set aside for inmates that will released to help them get back on their feet when they get out.
4. mandatory balanced budget
5. you must be able to speak/know ENGLISH to become an amercian citizen
