Irrelevant and she shouldn't have used it. She DID use it however, and from the looks of it, the judge didn't like that either. It made her argument less factual and I am still of the mind she used it in a ploy for immediate kowtowing. She would have garnered more support without the "m-word" (as you put it.)

Frankly, I don't believe we've seen the last of this woman. Since her grievance was awarded so little, she'll probably sue the judicial system for "religious discrimination" and call the judge a bigot.

Speaking as a feminist, I can unequivocally state that I WOULD sue my employer for unfair dismissal in this case. To change the dress code for women only and NOT for men is a form of sexual harassment and to a lesser degree, intimidation by threat of loss of employment.

HOWEVER-and here's the caveat folks-This young woman should NOT have played her "muslim" card. As a "supposed" good muslimah herself, she should never ever have been employed at a bar, selling liquor, as a cocktail waitress. It is totally haram. And therein lies the crux of the matter, she was muslim only when convenient, only when it suited her "suit." Thus, in gratuitously declaring herself a muslim, she had every expectation of the court caving in to her like good little "dhimmies."

I'm sorry Mary, she can't have it both ways. She herself looked to sensationalize this case by stating her islamic background, and thus, she is judged by her statement fairly. I certainly wouldn't bring up my Catholic upbringing or my personal circumstances as an incest survivor in a lawsuit for sexual discrimination, and this person shouldn't have either.

Okay, so then, if there's been a spate of laser lightings in cockpits, then this twerp knew what he was doing. He's just hoping to trade in his musselman card and get some cash-o-la from this.

"They picked on me because I am an islam-o!" Plenty of pounds later, he'll be laughing all the way to his mosque. I hope, instead, that they throw the book at him and lock him up for 20 years. This was no joke!

As if...

If wishes were ponies, then all the pretty ponies are mine. And I wish that it WERE so... that all the media would do is educate about the bare naked truth of islam(e) and call a spade a spade when it sees one. But no.....

The media is too busy bending over for islam(e) and making apologies....

Please let's allow for complete emasculation. Make eunuchs out of them so they don't procreate. And then they get to serve as eternal little boys in that so-called heaven of islam. That's more fitting, since their religion is obsessed with testosterone levels and sperm rains in heaven... lol...

Well now. If Obama bin Biden gets into the qabah then we all KNOW he is muslim.. Which, btw, means absolutely nothing to most Americans. I went to New York and the Chosen One is all the rage there, he can do no wrong. The idea that he was not born in the United States held no credence. The very suggestion that he is a muslim, brought shrugged shoulders of "Who cares?"

And when I pointed out that the Middle Eastern world is smugly satisfied with our perceived as muslim president and that the general feeling is that 9/11 was the perfect catalyst. The general consensus was more head-in-the-sand, "Well, we hope he does a good job of changing that. Let's give him a chance. And anyway, who cares what the rest of the world thinks?"

Can't argue with stupidity....

I personally like "musselman." The connotation is that they're like those little foul mussels of the brackish polluted seas. Something bitter and dressed in black, with slimy green hateful insides.

And, here here, let's not forget punctuation. I also never ever capitalize anything to do with islam, muslim, kabah, quran, or mohammed, etc. etc. They're just not worthy of that minuscule respect.

Civil disobedience is the key to protest against the police removing the lawful protesters. I've been to many a protest and the one thing that has worked as an effective means for garnering publicity is peaceful civil disobedience.

What the Pro-Israeli protesters should have done is sit down and refuse to leave. The police would have HAD to arrest them and this then would have hit the main stream media. Just imagine, if they had done so, this video would have become in demand for the local news since there would have been quite a few court cases.

Never back down! They should not have talked to the police, that got them nowhere! But lawsuits against the police for UNLAWFUL arrests would have got them somewhere!!
