I have alot of feeling about math. I didn't really like school, so it wouldn't actually have made much sense to go to grad school, but I still feel guilty that I didn't do well enough/set myself up in my undergrad to apply. I have vague plans to write the math GRE at some point just to prove something to myself.

People actually time their pasta? I just stand there eating semi-cooked pasta every couple minutes until it's ready.

Actually. I mean, I'm usually making sauce or something at the same time, but I firmly believe timers are for baked goods only.

I find this tolerable from my mother and grandmother only.
(Except I always forget, and my mom knows I always forget, so she doesn't actually worry, she just sends me an 'ahem..' email/text the next morning)

I guy I was dating once said this as I was leaving his house (at like 11 in the morning) and I straight up told him "Nope."

I have a gender-neutral name, so if I interact with someone via email before meeting them, I'm often assumed to be male. Mostly people don't say anything about it when I introduce myself (though a couple have), but you can see the momentarily pause and mental recalibration.

I used to be able to drive, but then I got into a (very minor) accident and it became terrifying.

I also hate using phones, and, (only somewhat relatedly), never get around to making medical appointments. I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out, like, 3 years ago.

And I don't know how to apply makeup, and would happily never learn. I have no idea whether this is realistic.

The Bletchley Circle is perfect in almost every way. Especially because math.
