Again, you hit the target in the bullseye Gary. I can't understand how someone can take something (food stamps, welfare, housing allowance...) they didn't earn and not consider it stealing when they are capable of earning it themselves. Sure there are times when a person might need a hand-up but when many raise their kids to feel like it is owed to them, makes a generation of slaves. What are we doing to our country??? sad...
In all correctness, the individual is a teacher at Conestoga Middle School, Beaverton, OR. I was listening to Lars go on about this guy today and could not believe the idiots that called in defending the behavior that this a$$ was promoting. Can't wait to hear what the teacher's union will have to say.
I agree. When will Hollywood start makiing movies that reflect the true heart of those who serve? Semper Fi!
As a former Marine who has a child currently serving in Afghanistan, several people I work with have tried to encourage me to see this movie. I will not spend my money favoring a movie that degrades those who fight for us instead, I frequently will have a drink and toast those who went before and who currently serve. THAT is how I show a "tribute" to the Marines!! Hollywood has no idea what it means to sacrifice your life for others.
Maybe he's just looking for attention. He hasn't been in the news for a while and doesn't want anyone to forget how important he is (dripping with sarcasm).
I surprised he could put down the KrispyKreme long enough to write the letter. Does anyone know anyone who even cares about what Moore has to say?? I don't!
"Barrie Osborne, part of the Oscar-winning team behind the Lord of the Rings films, says the new production 'will educate people about the true meaning of Islam'"
As a Christian, I believe in keeping an open mind but what is being peddled as the "true meaning of Islam" isn't even close to the original writing. For a "religion of peace" to condone beheadings and the treating of women as property, I'm not sure what kind of sympathy he expects to garner with this production?
As my preacher used to say, "People are like a pack of ketchup, you don't know what's in them until they're squeezed."
The fact that he was nominated after only 2 weeks in office clearly implies the award did not have anything to do with his actions but instead was meant to show their (the awards board) hatred for the Bush administration. I fail to see how the President of the United States winning the same award as Yasser Arafat can be "good" for the US. A greater man would refuse it on principal.
Hmmm... I thought Obama said there were 57??? Surely he couldn't be wrong?
