True. But from what I have observed in my lifetime, a majority of rental houses are not maintained sufficiently and are often times filled with people I have no desire to live next to. Again, I did not say ALL the time.

You get there early enough to get a spot. Some people don't have the opportunity to get there early (due to work, kids, etc.) and it is near impossible to find a spot more towards noon.

As for walking from across the river, that is a fine and dandy idea if they weren't charging those with parking permits to park on IUSB lots. People pay to park in a lot for convenience, time constraints, etc. If they make parking free then students wouldn't have a right to be upset about a shortage of spots.

The bus and carpool is also a grand idea. Except for those with tight schedules. I personally head straight from work right to IUSB and don't have time to take a bus or pick up others for carpooling. I know plenty of other students that also work full-time and go to school full-time that don't have time to wait around on a bus or switch busses.
