I was never worried, but I can see how that might be important to clarify. :)

You're absolutely right about the way the bill is set up, and honestly I find it incredibly scary.
I don't like HR3200 because I am strongly in favor of a small government with less power, and this version of the healthcare bill takes the country in the opposite direction. Because I genuinely believe that power left directly in the hands of the people is better for America I fear the consequences of the Healthcare bill passage into law.
But what is really eating me is not a difference of opinion in what legislation should be enacted; but rather, the willingness of the government to deal in dishonesty in order to achieve its own ends. When a government is so determined to enact certain law as to lie to the people about that law the obvious question is, "why?" Anyone who lies to sell you a product puts the product in question.
It is this deceit that keeps me motivated to move forward in a way I have never moved. I am by nature a small life person, preferring my family, my home etc. to much excitement. I have involved myself now in the workings of the government in ways far beyond my natural comfort level. I suppose it is ultimately a matter of selfish comforts. Up until now letting the country be run by others was more comfortable, but I have been pushed to a point that is quite the opposite. Being lied to and insulted by my “employees”, hired by my vote is extremely UNcomfortable. So I do what I can to put a stop to it and return to the old “hobbity” ways.

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
In reply, Senator John Cornyn of Texas:
“I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed “fishy”. You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program. As Congress debates healthcare reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by a fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights.”
Seventeen minutes into President Obama’s recorded phone conversation http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/20/obama-ca...
Caller: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?”
President Obama: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.”
Later in the same call President Obama says “If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.”
As you can see and hear President Obama stated that he was not familiar with the provision and then went on to later answer the question to the clear and resounding positive. This is clearly misinformation and fishy.
Please do the patriotic thing, email the White House at flag@whitehouse.gov and report this misinformation. Tell your friends, family and neighbors to do the same. They are seeking your patriotic help.

You can't be anywhere near the Alamo and not see Davy Crocket's quote, "You may all go to Hell, but I'm going to Texas" posted somewhere. There may come a time when many of us are sending that postcard out en mass, with our new Texas address posted on the back.
