I don't know that there is a copy right on this picture. I believe it is from the public domain.

Yes, I am a history teacher who believes this. I am also a Christian and I thoroughly believe the word of God. Of course, when it comes to the end times there is much deserved speculation and many different interpretations. But as far as the basic tenets of Christianity, I would make a list of all the great men and leaders of the past who believed in and lived by the scriptures but I haven't enough years remaining to make such a list. Thanks for reading my article and commenting on it.

Thanks for a great comment. Your words skilfully portray truth. The truth resonates in the hearts of fellow believers but rest assured, words like these will arouse the wrath of those who have failed to embrace the truth.

If you believe that a man can be a Christian and have an orientation toward homosexuality, we are in agreement. If you believe that a man can act out his lustful homosexual desires and still be a Christian then we are in disagreement. A man who lives in a pattern of homosexuality does not bear the fruit of Christianity, nor does the man who expresses sinful lust through masturbating to pornography, being unfaithful to his wife, or finding relief for his sexual lust in any experience outside of a God-ordained marriage between one man and one woman.
I also agree that sitting down for a cup of coffee and discussing these matters is much more affective than conveying written communications. Please realize that there is no hatred in my speech. My own brother is homosexual and I love him just as much as I love my heterosexual brother. The message seems to target homosexuals because that is the topic of discussion in this blog but if you paruse through the rest of my blogs you will see that I am a warrior against any form of sin that discredits the holiness and glory of God. To love God dearly is to hate sin deeply. But I have no hatred for you, brother, or for any other who is orientated toward homosexuality.

I have read the Nazarene Perspective on Homosexuality. I am in full agreement with the superintendents when they say "We deplore any action or statement that would see to imply compatibility between Christian morality and the practice of homosexuality." I also agree with their statement that "Sexual orientation is not usually a willful choice. (Can the heterosexual point to a time they chose their sexual orientation?) It is amoral, neither moral nor immoral. Sexual behavior is a moral choice".
I think the church should embrace those who are homosexual in orientation. I think the church is showing love when they reveal the truth of God's word when it condemns the behavior of the homosexual. I agree that his sinful act is no greater or worse than the fornicator, the thief or the adulterer. I think those who are oriented toward homosexuality can certainly be as Christian as anyone else. Those who act on their orientation and participate in sinful homosexual behavior are condemned by such sin and should hear the hope in Christ Jesus who can deliver any man from any sin.
