Actually, being a licensed foster parent, I can vouch for the fact that there are quite a lot of background checks that are done as well as hours upon hours of training that has to be completed to receive a license to foster parent. It is a shame that this happened. Maybe if more families were willing to open their homes up to these children, instead of not wanting to "get their hands dirty" or mess with someone else's problems , we would have more quality homes in which to place these children.

Be very careful not to sit in judgment on these people. Rest assured as Christians they will receive their judgment from God and the consequences will be far worse than any of your words could ever be. Remember each of us is human and as such each of us is capable of this and far worse. The important thing to remember is to always keep Christ at the center of our homes and marriages. Our marriages are like a garden, if we don't cultivate them, water them, weed them, spend time in them, then they will die and often that is what happens and unfortunately we then turn to other people and it doesn't matter whether they are "good looking" or "ugly", they are the ones paying attention to us and us to them and they are the ones with whom we are spending the most time and before you know it things are happening that we would never have thought ourselves capable of doing. I heard a wise statement recently, In life, when the grass looks greener on the other side then maybe its time to start watering your own! Folks, let God do the judging and us do the praying for these families because it is going to take a lot of love and prayers to save these families from total loss. If the husbands and wives involved can't work it out then the ripple effects will last for decades through children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and on and on and on............how do I know? I've been there..........

Folks, most heavier drug users didn't start out with the hard stuff, they usually start with the pot then on to stronger chemicals. Maybe you think the picture is just a few little plants, but if they are growing that then most likely there is more somewhere else. Until you have seen a teen girl who is struggling with emotional and mental problems because her biological dad sexually abused her while she was smoking weed with him, then you probably can't understand the seriousness of getting this junk off the streets. Do we just forget about it if it's the "little" stuff? I think not. That's sending a very dangerous message, especially to our teens. If you really think marijuana is not a big deal then maybe it would be a good idea for you to do some research. Check out the difference in the THC levels now as compared to what is was a few years ago. It's not like it was back in the 70's. It's much more addictive now. I work with addictions clients all the time and let me tell you that cannabis (pot) is one of the main addictions people have.........
