"feel good about yourself" as the desired outcome of education.
Reasoning and interpreting, reading and understanding, logic and orderly
thinking are considered unnecesary and, often, "elitist" or "hurting the
feelings" of someone. It doesn't surprise me to see what we are
currently stuck with in the White House- current young voters have been
nurtured and encouraged to "feel" instead of think for a long time.

Some "fishy disinformation" from Robert Gibbs, Presidential Press Secretary who stated that the emails received will "never leave the White House" but did not deny they would be read and saved: Given that no communication to the White House may be purged or deleted and must be held for the National Archives, and that you wish to be informed of supposed "disinformation" in emails and "casual conversation" I suggest that you carefully read the following:
5 U.S.C. § 552a, United States agencies, including the Executive Office of the President shall, “maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.”
Just how are you going to comply with this Federal Law while simultaneously violating it?
My thanks to Mark 1957 for the relevant passage in Federal Law!!!

I wish to report a comment from Nancy Pelosi that seems "fishy" to me:
Ms. Pelosi characterized me (as an attendee at Tea Parties) as
"astroturf" and stated that all who attended such events were coached
and/or sent by large insurance companies or other non-governmentally
funded groups. As I receive no funding from any source except my
limited salary as a public school aide, and no one has in any way
coached me regarding what I say when exercising my rights to Freedom of
Speech, such "fishy" comments are slanderous.
I am a Conservative Independent, not affiiated with any political
party. I read, research, and investigate governmental pronouncements
and form my own opinions. Since this is the case for me, I am also
reporting that I engage in "casual conversations" and freely express my
interpretations and opinions of the President's policies and public
statements. If my opinions sound "fishy" to someone, that's just fine
with me - many Progressive politicians sound extremely "fishy" to me,
including Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Reid, Mr. Durbin, Mr. Biden, Mr. R. Emanuel,
Dr. E Emanuel, Mr. Holdren, etc(list is too long to transcribe
completely).

I would like to report a casual conversation between me and my husband about Obamacare - we both think it is "fishy" that the President has repeatedly advocated a single payer health care system and yet seems to have "re-written history" regarding his own views. I would also like to report that telling people that they can "keep their current plan and doctor" is also "fishy." Without adding that, if the House and Senate both pass the HR3200 proposals, this "keep your own plan" will last for only 1 to 4 years as private insurance is subjecterd to specific contents mandated by Government and all Americans are "phased in " to the public option seems to us to be extremely "fishy.". We also discussed and agreed that "mandatory" counseling by government on any health or life issue is intrusive and unconstitutional. So far we find everything the President says to be "fishy" and contrary to what we have read in the pending legislation.
