I think that each leader, intentionnally or not,.impacts deeply the vision of the church he is in charge with.
but if your consider that the church existed before you and will survive after you leave, you may consider your influence as really limited.
and christians (actually the Church) should be aware that they need to grow because the leader can't do everything.
When christians don't take their place it is difficult for the leader to realise that his voice is not the only one.
thank you again Ron.

So true. Even for the young pastors ((like me). Admit your struggles and share them lead people to conclude that your call is not a real one.
"You should be strong , a rock, so that we all can rely on you." I heard some day
but I read in the Bible
"And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone"
Ephesians 2 : 20
So...
Thank you Rod. Your posts are really helpful.

Every time is hurts to hear that a soldier is down. (yes it is a war).
we have to pray for him, for the other soldiers, for us.
because the race is not over. stay focused and tuned to Jesus.

church people consider church as a democracy, where they can make their arguments based on their biblical knowledge and experience.

I found out one thing in my life: I was unable to accept my own mistakes and I was very fast to judge others' mistakes. even now.
but I discovered that when I start to recognize that I am wrong, Jesus is cleaning me deeper. and the more I recognized the more He shows me mistakes. But the more it improves my relationship with Him.
