hi guys, my 3GS new bootrom has a few problems so I have to restore it to 4.0.1....How can I jaibreak it now. Does jailbreakme still work ?!

my 3GS new bootrom is still at 4.0.1. Can I use custom firmware 4.2.1 to upgrade my phone to jailbreak and unlock without updating baseband ?!

I have a question to make it clear, I am having an 3gs with new bootrom and many people out there are too.

For those people who are still lower than 4.1: Should they upgrade to 4.2.1 to jailbreak and unlock ?!.

For those people who are 4.1: same question with the first one.

Finally is for those people who are at 4.2.1: Could they jailbreak and wait for ultrasn0w to unlock it ?!

Sorry for a dumb question but I'm totally confused with it right now !!! Losing my way !!!
