I love theatre and don't know any playwrights. I should change that.

I am kind of a theatre geek and regularly go to NY to see plays and I did not know this existed. Will definitely do it next time, thanks!

One of the things that cemented my desire never to have children is the stunning amount of bullshit people are willing to say to absolute strangers. It puts far too much stress on my belief in nonviolence.

i did hate Catcher in the Rye! I also hated Dubliners and, by the end, The Goldfinch, but there are also several on that list I liked/loved, so I'll give more of them a try.

I did not understand calling it twee. I stopped when the kid loses the race, because I could not stand to read what was coming next. I thought it was miserable.

I used to be that way, and forced myself to finish many terrible things. Then one day it hit home that there are way more really good books out there than I will ever have time to read, and I was done wasting time with things I didn't like.

I tried to read that for the Tournament of Books last year (long list for this year's tournament was just released!) and could not get through it.

No kidding. We only get two hours out of seven? :(

You should post the whole thing somewhere, so if we want to invest the time, we can hear it all!
