First, SORRY for an easy question. i've read through three pages of comments and still am unclear on the process. I haven't updated my Jailbroken/Unlocked iPhone 3g (on TMobile), for a LONG time. Could someone point me in a direction of a good tutorial on using Redsn0w to jailbreak my iPhone 3g on iOS 4.0 or bullet point the steps?

A few questions I have (current phone specs: 3g, 3.1, 04.26.08)
-Do I update iTunes to 9.2?
-Do I update my iPhone to iOS 4.0 through iTunes or download a custom firmware?
-Redsn0w asks for the file of my current IPSW, how do I get this? I know I can save the IPSW through iTunes (I've used the Pwnage tool before).

Thanks guys!

Hi Marco,

Email notifications are now customized directly from the settings area (settings->Absolute Privacy). Check the default notifications for variables you can use in the emails.

Yes, but I\'m a developer. I like to do things myself rather then rely on plugins. :)

your right, the release date needs to be adjusted on the landing page. But the project isn't dead! It's gone through a lot of changes, and the scope has increased, but it's not dead. But it is a spare time project (which is quite limited), so it's hard to speculate on a release.

This plugin is GPL compatible and can be used as you see fit as long as credits and the original license remains intact.

Unfortunately the project has been delayed significantly. I've had some personal issues and scheduling problems that have come up, but I hope to be able to donate more time to this project in the near future. It's not dead, just on the back burner for right now.

Just thought I'd throw this out there. With all the talk of iPhone viruses I decided to change the root SSH password from the Apple default. After doing so, my phone showed "No Service". Changing the password back and rebooting the phone corrected the issue. It'd be nice if ultrasn0w worked with a non-standard root password.

I'm running 3.1 and 04.26.08 with the latest update of ultrasn0w on Tmobile (USA)

I have this same problem. T-Mobile, USA, used Pwnage then applied Ultrasn0w while the T-mobile SIM was installed. Worked fine on 3.0, having problems on 3.1

You're right, it may be good to include the option of not adding extra registration stuff so it doesn't interfere with other plugins. That may be something I do in a future release. I appreciate your compliments and comments, and I'm glad you got it working.
