The interesting thing about this is that the contributions to the city are voluntary... The nonprofits are not required to give money in any way; rather, the nonprofits chose to give money as a goodwill gesture toward the city. I really wish that Ravenstahl would take a minute to think before he speaks sometimes.
I still think it's frustrating that reporters still ask female candidates how they plan on taking care of their children if they win. Why does it matter?
Evidently, church ladies a pie bring out the fight in some people... ;-)
Hmmm... not a big fan of cavorting with evil. Then again, I have a feeling that whatever I say will be construed as evil by you and Dolley Madison.
It was just a suggestion... Some people think that reducing the size of the legislature would be a good idea, others do not. It was just something to mention as a part of the conversation. I'm not sure I think it's a good idea, but who knows?
Oh, and just out of curiosity: Is there anything else that you would like to yell at me about today? I'm listening!
Thanks for that. Government is a necessary evil, but I guess that some choose to ignore that fact.
Flaming liberal? Really? That's the first time that I have EVER been called that. Wow... it seems like people just want to nitpick today, because it seems like everything I say is wrong. I consider myself to be a moderate conservative, but evidently I don't know myself, because you have spoken... My goodness. When I said that "The government should focus on assisting the citizens of PA with things that are actually helpful to them," I was meaning passing legislation to reduce the size of our legislature and making sure that the elected officials that are in place are kept honest. My goodness someone is testy this morning.
I was trying to convey that maybe the government should focus on assisting the citizens of PA with things that are actually helpful to them, rather than enforcing laws that have no merit and are just put into place to harm private citizens and create bureaucratic red tape. And I don't quite understand why you feel the need to argue with me... I was simply saying that I understand what the law is trying to do, but was written in such a way that harms more than helps.
I just said that I understand what the law is trying to do, i.e. make things safer, but I said that they are going about it in the wrong way... Like I said previously, we have more important things to do.
I understand what the law is trying to do, but this is just overkill. Why on Earth would you penalize innocent churchgoers for making pies in their own kitchen? Come on... don't we have more important things to do?
