Corruption, lies, tons of media attention, highest sentence in St. Joe history, lawsuits, everyone suing everyone. This man that is responsible for the death was even told by the judge she was giving him the highest sentence ever because in her eyes killing a cop was the worst of the worst, what a joke. Man kills a man on Mishawaka Ave. got ten years 2 for the death, 8 for leaving the scene. Indiana Officer kills someone, gets all his charges dropped. 2 girls killed in Mishawka the man gets no time. I know police officers lives seem to be more important but where’s the justice for everyone else. All of this was just cause of who lost their life, a cop. All this dirty work just to pin someone…. where does it stop?
Hello, because of the police statements the "ambulance chasing" attorneys of the SZUBAS filed a wronful death suit against this bar. Thats why it all began.
The officer must of lied or had lack of evidence, the SZUBAS have dropped their lawsuit against them. Yes, everyones seen the tape. He wasnt there.

Yep, it’s all political with them. They don’t jump when it’s at their discretion and jump on extreme circumstances, only to make themselves look good. With them., it’s no longer about right or wrong, fair or not fair. None of them will ever get my vote! Idiots!
Nobody should get more time because of who was killed, no life is worth more than the other. This kid had no chance. He got more than 4X the highest sentence ever handed down in St Joe County. I hope it never happens again but I guess if it does hope it is someone of importants otherwise there will be no justice.
Didnt someone just get 15 yrs 2 DUI causing the death for killing a woman and her unborn child in Elkhart? WOW, Justice will be more than served here. Now, make it fair and apply to all that break the law not just ones with higher status.
gesh... by the looks of him, i wouldnt want to run into him in a dark alley let alone face him with the power of a badge. who can we trust anymore? all this in the paper, about cops stealing and selling, shooting and arguing, domestic battery, hitting criminals with their cars, abusing people with pepper balls, OWI'S. Scary~
This woman “violently” and maliciously stabbed a human to death. Sure, the drugs might have exacerbated the situation; but I would have to assume that those sorts of actions and anger steams from something deeper than just drug addiction. That’s scary to me. I just don’t have much sympathy, I can’t put myself in her shoes and fathom how someone could kill someone like that; especially stabbing someone, it’s so personal and “violent”. Her sentence fits the crime.
What a way to die, in your own personal cell of hell. I will be watching this one for the outcome of the investigation. I can only hope for all involved it was the result of nothing more than natural causes.
