I legit freaked when I saw the White House and the byline, and was in tears by this paragraph. HOW. WHAT. IS. EVEN. HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.

Last night was the first time I ever spoke up to a man who went on a rant about "Black lives matter is such bullshit. ALL LIVES MATTER." and I calmly kept my shit together and we had a civil discussion for like 10 minutes about how wrong he was, and while I might not have fully convinced him, I at least got him to listen and respond respectfully. !!!!!!!!!

And I have The Toast (Nikki especially) and The Establishment and other amazing places like this to thank for giving me the perspective, and confidence, and clear-headed logic to speak up when someone comes at me with some ignorant bullshit like that.

The most useful skill I picked up in my 8 years in fundie high schools and college was the creative subverting of dress codes.

"Well, where in the dress code does it expressly forbid wearing a dress that has a full-length zipper running down the front?"

I prided myself on meeting the letter but not the spirit of the law as much as humanly possible. :D

Noooooo, the ship tote is already gone! :'( I'll comfort myself with the badass misandrist mermaid, and cross my fingers that the big hair no heart warrior woman is still available in a week, because I just can't swing $50 in totes I technically don't need this week with rent due.

Saaaaaaame! The black cherry and cherry pomegranate flavors are where it's at for me in their regular line, but there's always one or two limited edition flavors each season that I mourn when their time is up. I have been known to drive around town stockpiling the best ones at the end of each seasonal run.

Except for their winter/holiday food (as opposed to fruit)-based flavors, which almost always gross me out. Giant NOPE to eggnog/chocolate mint/gingerbread seltzers, Polar flavor gurus.
