I can tell that we are both passionate about our cause and would be glad to meet you half way and shake your hand. Tell the Mother, Wives, and children of all of the fallen soldiers to get over it. Tell the men that spent years in POW camps that prayed daily that they would see their country and their flag again to get over it. And no I will not get over it.

Like i said we are in distress but why disrespect the one thing that binds us together, why show weakness that way. If things are so dire that you must fly your flag upside down how are you able to type on a computer, how are you able to voice your opinion, Yes I agree that things are bad, I am not arguing that. But there are better ways to show it than fly the flag upside down. If it is ok to fly the flag upside down then are you saying it would be equally ok to burn it in protest of the government?

I apologize but i do take offense, I have had many friends, shed blood, loose limbs and pay the ultimate price with their lives for the GREATEST FLAG IN THE WORLD. I understand that our nation is in distress, and it bothers me everyday when I turn on the news or I hear people talking that the US is going down the drain. I hate it!! I just do not agree that it is ok to fly the flag upside down for these reasons. IF ANYTHING WE SHOULD FLY THE FLAG HIGH, LET THE WORLD SEE THAT WE ARE PROUD OF OUR AMERICAN HERITAGE AND THAT NOTHING WILL BREAK OUR STRENGTH. Be in distress, I am with you. But please show more respect for that flag. It is hanging folded on to many wives and mothers wall for us to be disrespecting it because we have a bunch of silly politicians that need to wake up and SEE AMERICA.

I completely agree with your first post. You make a very valid point. I am curios though... Why is your picture an upside down flag. I know that it means distress, and our nation is in a time of distress, but I am curious why you feel the need to show the flag in such a way.
