I'm all for the testing! It will keep honest people honest, hopefully help those who need treatment and weed out the people using the system.

We got 2 coupons as well, used one and lost the other one. I'm really glad that we are able to replace the one we lost. We live in Auburn, at times we get close to 30 channels(depending on conditions). We are very happy with what we get and will probably never go back to cable or satellite.

If parents are taking on the responsibility of teaching their kids at home, and then don't teach them, it the parents' failure. There are required testing that homeschooled students must pass in order to move on to the next school year. I'm sorry, but the parents of the children you spoke of seem lazy if their kids are outside playing all day and they don't know how to read, especially at age 9!

Atheism is NOT a religion. Look it up for yourself! Atheists believe there is no god. Religion is the belief and worship in a supernatural power.

Atheism is not a religion. Please pay attention to the posts. I and a few others have posted the definitions of them.

That may be an acceptable explanation to you and many others who choose to believe it, but I can't, there's nothing but the word of man to substantiate that claim. There is no proof that he has always been there and always will, there is no proof that he exists.

The scope and reference of the word has no bearing on it's capitalization.
If it did, then I would be capitalizing every specific reference I made, eg: my Sister, that Tree. Different uses of the words "sister" and "tree" changes the scope of understanding to what is being conveyed, but it does not change the basic rules of the English written language.
Capitalization of the word "god" in religious scripture
is done out of respect, fear and reverence for their deity, not the rules of written language.

"God" still has the same meaning as "god". I could write about any God but unless I was descriptive and/or used their proper names you wouldn't know which one I was talking about or assume I was referring to the Judean-Christian god.

I, personally, have had to deal with "people of faith" that scorn me for my beliefs daily. If I wear my pentacle in public, I hear both adults and children yelling at me that I will go to hell to be with my "master". I'm not a devil worshiper, I don't even believe in Satan and the pentacle is not a Satanic symbol. The few "people of faith" that actually ask questions about my beliefs look at me in fear when I tell them, they take a few key words from what I say and assume I'm some evil witch. "People of faith" have been trying to "save my soul" for years and I have actually had a priest offer to do an exorcism, he believed that in order for me to practice my faith the way I did, I must be possessed (I've never been possessed and my soul is exactly how I want it).
I have had few good experiences with these "people of faith", most of the time when people find out what I believe, I'm insulted, shunned, shouted at, I've had things thrown at me. Because of these experiences, I no longer have a favorable opinion of Christianity (broad generalization). According to those that I have dealt with, I'm not free to practice a "false" religion (I'll go to hell) and I'm some sort of evil leper for exposing my so-called evil ways to children.

I am very much a person of non Judean-Christian faith. I have faith in my beliefs.
Atheists have faith in their beliefs, and I have seen many atheists treated in much the same way as I have been treated by your "people of faith".
Christianity is supposed to be a religion about peace, love, forgiveness, tolerance and acceptance. Christians continually show me a religion of fear, hatred, intolerance and assimilation.
