Turns out it's not Twitter at all, but the bit.ly extension for Chrome - there is an 'Enhance Twitter' setting that shows the shorten button next to the tweet button when a long URL is entered in the tweetbox on Twitter.com.

Yeah, I did consider including the Kindle, but, like you say, may it's not quite the right bit of gear for first clickers.

Received by email: There's a post script to your dylan/cohen story. Leonard was later asked did it really take 3-4 months to write Hallelulah. He replied: "Actually it took much longer, but i didn't want Dylan to think I was slacking"

Well, I guess you could write some code to loop through the columns in the databound sub, rather than going through each one manually.

Vodafone have come good and decided to release a standard upgrade to Froyo - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-10940342

The point still stands though; if it has happened once with one network, it could happen again.
