A Leica 14-400mm f/0.95 for $1000 or less?
:p

In the realms of the real world, I'd love a Leica D equivalent for the Olympus 12-35 f/2 (except the Leica would have IS as well) for the four thirds mount . . but then that ain't happening, is it?

I think this is intensely funny & very ironic (considering it's posted right above a post concerning the awesomeness *cough cough* of the Pentax K-7).

And yes, as Joe before me said, Pentaxians all over the world should be working up a rebuttal to this!

I really am happy for Oly that they came out with this, but I gotta say I'm a lil' disappointed by how non-retro this camera is. No OVF, no dials for things like ISO, Exposure (Canon G10) or Shutter Speed, Aperture (Lumix LC-1/L1) and a far more modern looking piece than what the carrot-cam originally appeared to be, plus the ginormous non-tilting flash (it is non-tilting, right?).

I hope this sells because I really want to see the M4/3rds to see the kind of success I believe it deserves, but I also sincerely hope that between Panny/Leica/Oly, someone manages to come up with the sorta modern day rangefinder that I know many of the ol' LC-1 shooters would hope for!

Looks nice. The price & availability for this will decide if my girlfriend gets an E-620 or an E-P1!
Viva Olympus!

$1500 for the kit (with the waterproof 18-55 lens) which is almost 2 n' a half times what the Olympus E-620 kit costs.
I think thats a significant difference in the camera's design & appeal, but even so, full points to Pentax for this awesome piece of equipment most specially considering it's size (as compared to the D300 or the 50D or the E-3)

#3 is so brilliant, it's almost scary!
Kinda reminded me of this quote I read (don't ask me where) that said, "Orwell's 1984 was a warning, not a "How-To" Manual!"

I think us 4/3rds users like to call 'em EVIL systems (or as the NY Times guide would have it - E.V.I.L.)
Which stands for - Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lense System.
