Both would-be bomber David Ervine and unrepentant double murderer Billy Hutchinson have been elected to both BCC and the Assembly.
Members of other Unionist parties were happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with them on entering Stormont in a show of Unionist solidarity.

I think you'll find the UVF, in the guise of Ulster Special Constables were well involved in the sectarian murders around the time of partition.

'Survival of the fittest' also refers to how well a species adapts or fits in with it's environment.
I'm sure Tyrannosaurs were pretty fit, but where are they now?
These 'artificial constructs' of government or supernatural bogeymen are means by which humans try to order their societies. But it is society which creates these structures. They are not imposed by some outside agency in order to keep potential anarchy at bay.
" People will be immoral if they know they can get away with it" - Only a tiny minority GMan; most can differentiate between right and wrong and act accordingly.

True OX. A bit more info from BT would be helpful.
Does Livefyre replace Intense Debate? What about ones comment history?
And of course one could also be cynical and see it as one more digital advertising hook being baited.

Presumably AMCK, as not everyone has a presence on all these social media, any link would have to be optional.
Also any link would be just that - a 'link' back to the original BT post. . . but don't quote me as I'm no expert.

The thin end of the wedge! Don't underestimate the power of the Dark Side. ;)

Where is the homosexuality at the core of the RC church?
And if it refuses to admit it's existence, how come it regularly speaks out against it?

Policing civil disorder is difficult, and wading in with batons flailing could make matters ten times worse.
If the PSNI choose to take a softly softly approach, then that's an operational decision.
The judge said however that the ACC believed "he was hampered by law from stopping the parades and arresting participants."
This was not the case. By all means make a decision not to intervene in a protest, but not because you believe you have no authority to do so.
