Also just to remind everyone its been two years since there was release a sofware unlock (do not rely on waiting on the dev team) cause their main reason for providing an unlock was that at first apple wasn't selling unlocked iphone now they do (also its possible to unlock your iphone via your carrier its time consuming to find an unlock wich they prefer to put in jailbreak now) So you might just wait for the rest of your life.

look what you wrote you got an iphone 3g runing on 5.1 and your trying to run corona 5.0.1 (witch is the firmware that corona support) Only redsn0w work for the moment (and its tethered) also you should follow iclarified tutorial (google iclarified)

nope you will stay with the conventional 3G, no update can bring a new network technology to your device as the components inside the device cant support it

Lag can be done by program you installed on your iPod (via cydia), sbsettings , activator, winterboard, themes, ... when you start to install a bunch of apps if can cause your device to lag

and 05.09 maked this method incompatible

I used to have one but it was exchanged for a 05.09 one and after got destroyed by my brother

If you get one, MAKE sure to always upgrade with NO BB firmware else youre gonna find yourself with and expensive ipod. And trust me, each time i upgrade, i need to double check everything i do when i update my device

If you upgraded your iphone 4 while Preserving your baseband with a NO BB 5.0 firmware (and have a 01.59.00) its normal since theres is a baseband mismatch just install ultrasn0w. It's only a cosmetic issue that ultrasn0w fix.

Again this is for 01.59.00 theres is no need to upgrade with a NO BB 5.0 fw if you dont have 01.59.00 baseband since there might never be an unlock for higher baseband. I say no need you can always do it but you get this cosmetic issue and there is like 99% that there wont be an unlock since its been past a year since last unlock.
