the whole thing you keep refering to is... "It was DO OR DIE for 10 seniors on that court that night. With a minute left to go in a game that could well determine your season and what your high-school basketball career is"....guess what, no-one cares about the 10 seniors or THEIR baskettball career!!!!!, if it was that important than THEY should've had a better season overall and not relied on a loser out game!!!!!!!!!! seriously, think about it DIV CHAMP, who cares if 10 seniors are playing or 10 freshman? youre laying blame for a mediocre season.
glad to have taken the time to read your comments here, as well as other issues posted, you seem REAL and tellin it like it is, or should be, THANKS
well said and well spoken!!! a double tech SHOULD HAVE made everybody realize that they need to focus on the game and not the refs!!!, I gave a tech to a player last night for bad language and im over it, hope they are as well
yep, half right and half wrong, just like the cops, the lawyers, the parents, the courts ETC...............thanks anon3333 for being honest
It was 62-61 Riverside with 60 seconds left to play, great!! then 1 tech foul was called!!!!!!!!! and then some IDIOTS reacted resulting in 3 more to be called! as far as momentum, thats when you regroup and call plays get the ball to the big man or shooting gaurd and show what youre realy made of not act like a spoiled brat who just had his ice cream cone taken away
to gewu124, yes it is the refs job to "control" the game, that means to call a fair game and protect players from getting hurt, when play gets out of control. BUT, it is the coaches, and parents JOB to raise the players in an intelligent and respectful manner. If the players and coaches had acted accordingly when the game started and the fouls started to be called, then the teams could have settled down, adjusted and ran a structured offense, which would have had different results. It is a different situation in other arena's. Bottom line is, the wrong adjustments were made and as such, the coaches lost control of their emotions and their players, then the administration lost control of the fans. Remember, when you buy a ticket to go to any high school activity, you agree to a certain code of conduct and agree to abide as such, no matter what happens, you are still a representative of that school. Blaming bad reffing on bad ball play, is just using an excuse for not being in a position to win on your own. Sorry.....
I've read all comments and tried to keep an open mind towards all of this, the facts to me are simple!! coaches and parents scrutinize the officiating crews every night! Then after the game they go home and either two things happen, if they win, nothing is said, if they loose, then alot of times they BLAME the "bad calls". I have said it before and will say it again..."if any of these so-called concerned parents or coaches would like to OFFICIATE, well then by all means possible, join the association and do so! According to all of you, there are not enough "GOOD" officials out there. Put up or shut up!, fact of the matter is, none of you want to do the job, because you don't want to be in the spotlight. I know the officials that did the game and will stand by them. The parents, coaches and players are to blame for the simple fact that they let this game get out of control since they thought this game was the most important thing for them to get to the playoffs. SEE YOU ON THE COURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
