Frequency is something you have to make your best judgement on. Chris has given a guide: I give me guide: and your ideas are worth just the same... Who knows what Google will decide? Maybe 6 posts a day will be ok for 9 out of 10 - but 1 out of 10 will be punished for it. You really cannot be sure.
My best suggestion is: do what would seem to be natural.
To change the frequency of posts already listed - that is easy. Just log in to you WP install, go to the post in question, and change the posting date/time.
