Oh, that is my favorite Lyle Lovett song ever and I have not heard it in so long and now I am just a puddle again. All of us on our ponies, on our boats, taking to the sea.
I wonder how many times a comment has just been MALLORY
Throughout the primary season I kept saying "I wish I liked either of them better than I do, but I think Hillary is the stronger candidate" and caucused for her. I like her SO MUCH more than I did 8 years ago and I will be very proud to say I voted for the first woman President. Thanks Hillary. Thanks Toast. Thanks Toasties.
I would love to have a print of the drawing that was at the end of the Tolkein post yesterday.
and me. the fiscal year ends today and all week has been last minute billing and annoying conversations with the accountant and tomorrow is all about closing the year. BOOOOOO to work getting in the way.
I want to also thank everyone who has been so generous with the Toast Totes Bursary. I literally do not have any money for such frivolities, so when I got email from Nicole yesterday that I was getting a Take to the Sea I was so overwhelmed. I was having a day of feeling very underappreciated, and that there was someone out there who did not know me but wanted me to have something I could not afford made me cry (in a good way.) Thank you all!!!!!!
Ginger beer!!! it is available everywhere. 1 part Pimm's, 3 parts ginger beer, a couple slices cucumber and a strawberry if you have some (or some other fruit slice) and mint (again, if you have some). This is actually just fine without the fruit or mint.
I will also ask again if there will be a way to go back and read the whole site chronologically. I only started reading regularly last fall and would love to go back and start from the beginning.
Witch hazel is the best! I have been using it as an astringent for years and it makes my face feel great. For some reason it has gotten superexpensive though. It used to cost the same as a bottle of rubbing alcohol or peroxide, now it is twice that if not more!!
One of my favorite versions of Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching is by Ms. Le Guin. Never read anything else by her though.
