I posted this over on Vent, after reading Frank Houston's post there (he just posted it here too, Great post)
I wanted to make my offer known here too.

Basically, lets start this Executive Committee and get better organized to actually deliver some of our own idea of "Change". My idea was that, since I'm guessing a lot of us have full time commitments, job, etc., maybe three or four of us with some experience in leading organizations or in business startups could start that executive committee and devote some time to making this happen. If anyone is interested in working on this, send your contact information and a !!!BRIEF!!! description of how and why you think you can help start this up to 912executive@gmail.com and I will attempt to coordinate the effort.

Frank: This post is great, I've been posting over at Stand Up And Lead about organizing like this. I like the idea but I'm going to bet that lots of us have full time jobs and can't devote significant time to this effort all day long, and while I like the idea I saw about Palin leading us, I have doubts that will happen.

But, perhaps three or four of us with some experience in leading organizations or in business startups could start that executive committee and devote some time to making this happen. I did, and Frank's idea is a GREAT one, Sarah would be a GREAT leader for this organization, and if not a leader, then certainly a sponsor. If my posts did nothing but help spur people to connect the dots about getting organized (like you telling us about 911family's post), I feel like I accomplished something today. I just wish I was retired so I could commit more time to this effort.

By the way, if I used my main hobby as my name on this site it would be 'GarandCamp Perry'.

I am a strong advocate of tax reform to get to where everyone pays something into the system without picking winners and losers. I read your premise and looked at your worksheet and I like the general direction, especially eliminating social security, but I have not committed myself to your idea, Fairtax, or the flat tax just yet. All look promising and all have plusses and minuses.

To implement tax reform require legislators to first introduce it and then get it voted on. That means we need to take a position on it (Communications), voice our opinion (Education and Outreach), help elect people to propose it (Candidate Assessment) and track it (Legislation), keeping the naysayers from killing it (Threast Assessment). So what I proposed in that post is the PROCESS to getting an initiative like tax reform implemented that conforms to 912 principles, not the reform itself. I didn't discuss owning particular issues because we first need a formalize way to get stuff done that we can apply to ALL initiatives

If we are going to be successful, we need to get organized. Each of us has talent, skills, and above all, enthusiasm. We have to start focusing all that in an organized way. We need to transition from a ‘Sit Down and Type’ to a ‘Stand Up and Lead’ focus. It’s going to take real work and some time, more work and time than intellectualizing. Here is my initial list of critical activities (no particular order) I believe we need to organize around and have people begin to lead. I will follow up with details. Anybody want to start owning some of these?:

Candidate Assessment
Education and Outreach
Communications
Organization and Planning
Knowledge Management
Event Management
Legislation
Threat Assessment

86% - 16 miles - 576 sec, I would have done better but I kept trying to put California, NY, NJ, Illinois, and Massachusetts right next ro Moscow where they belong :-)

I was on the treadmill in the gym when the announcement came thru on the Collectivist News Network. Thirty minutes later, they were STILL showing this as though it was the third coming (Obama being the second). Spector will vote no differently than he did before. That and things like the jet flyover consume news bandwidth and dilute the coverage of the substantive destruction of our country that the Obamamaniacs are doing, but I don't think all of it is staged. I live in PA and I'm glad he's now the Demonrats problem. I do believe we need to 'watch the other hand', too - moveon, NAACP, Carville, etc. - to keep up on their tactics
