Here is a site that I came across for organizing a march in DC on July 4, 2009. Permits have already been acquired. The location is in the area next to the capital building between the senate building and Taft memorial.

I am from Chicago and my wife and I are going to try and make plans to be there... we have a new baby though, so we'll do our best.

I disagree with his views too, but he has just as much right as the rest of us to voice them.

Granted this is just a forum and not a serious matter, but his post should not have been deleted; that irritates me a little. I find it hypocritical that many on this forum are concerned that there voices are not being heard, and yet the admins removed his. That is quite symbolic of tyranny in its self.

Oops, I called the admin a tyrant... will this be deleted now.

I am coming in to this late, but why was Elliott's comment deleted? was it profane or inappropriate or was it just because he disagreed?

I will have lost a lot of respect for this site and the administrators if it was deleted just because he disagreed. I have read through his other posts and he has been respectful in his disagreements so I find it difficult to believe that this comment was removed because it was inappropriate.

This kind of action, in dismissing someone just because they disagree is contradictory to what this site was designed for. We all have the right to voice our opinions regardless of what they are... he should not have been silenced for this!!!

Agreed on the health care, didn't think of that... consider it appended to #3 my list.

Here is a list i have compiled of y own ideas and others from the site. I had to do 11 though; didn't feel I could get rid of any.

1)Flat/Fair Tax
2)Term Limits for Congress (no more than 6 years)
3)Pay Congress and the President on a military pay scale. Provide them housing, 3 squares a day, transportation to and from work, clothing allowance, Do not pay them anything when they leave office.
4)Repeal 16th and 17th Amendments
5)1 Bill = 1 Law, no riders, pork, or earmarks… just the proposed law (no need for line item veto.)
6)No more “Executive Order” except in times of war, state of emergency, civil unrest, etc.. All issues should go to congress.
7)Election Reform – cap on campaign budget, only contributions allowed from registered voters (no groups, business or organizations), No more smear adds (if a candidate is truly qualified he/she should not need to state why the other is not.)
8)Constitutional amendment for the budget to be balanced within the generation that is spending, no more passing national debt onto our children.
9)Welfare reform - There needs to be a plan on how to get those on welfare off it. They must be made to find work, get an education, etc and better themselves so they no longer need welfare.
10)Complete Transparency – Other than national security concerns, the people should be able to know everything.
11)Border Security – Enforce our immigration laws, deport ilegals when they are caught (on any charges), All immigrants must come through the front door of America.

Kudos!!!! where can we get one of those?

We see through your rhetoric and are on to your game. We value life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness while you value your money and power, at the same time selling the soul of our country to maintain your status. You have lost the trust and confidence of American citizens and it will not be an easy feat to regain it.

So that there is no confusion or error in interpretation or tone; allow me to make perfectly clear that this message, in no way, threatens, suggests or condones the use of violence, malice, or harm in any way towards anybody; but instead serves as a notice that we will work within the confines of the laws and our constitution to fulfill our new declaration. We declare that we will no longer go unnoticed, that we will no longer sit idly by while you take the fate our country into your own hands, that we will hold you accountable for your words and actions, and that we are the people, you work for us… and you will hear our unified voice once again.
