You can tap anywhere on the screen to change the direction the caterpillar moves. Either right, left, up or down. You have to time it correctly before it hits the wall or rocks. Eat the required amount of leaves in the given time to pass. You can also eat the hour glass to earn more time.

You have to tap anywhere on the screen to change the direction the caterpillar goes, either left, right, up or down. Timing also is thing you have to take note.

Campers Hut can only be found in the mountain's hut menu. Is it not there for you?

Lucky Smurf is available on the main village, planet swoof and island. He can be found in the huts menu. Have you searched there?

Have you tried rebooting and then playing it again? If all else fails, I suggest you open a ticket with Beeline. Sounds like a bug to me.
