Sexual assault, big scary emergencies with two friends, the last two years of college and the begining of the rest of my life, and the shit show that has been 2016 has been made a lot easier to handle with The Toast. Thank you!

But we get him full on in the first. Not what I have come to expect from these- makes me sort of miss the physics defying little dick ribbons

I can't find whoever made the comment first. It's lost in an open thread somewhere from months ago. But it stuck with me. Props to whoever initially said it.

I think someone once described The Toast as the best big sister ever. And that's what it is to me. It makes me laugh. It makes me cry. It makes me think of the experiences and perspectives of others instead of just about myself. It recommends movies and tv shows that are great and ones that are the worst but also the best. It is goofy with me and stern with me and kind to me. The Toast is filled with advice, recommendations, incredible jokes and even better writing. But most importantly it is filled with a sense of love and friendship and support and kindness and humor that both witnesses and nourishes each person here. So thanks for being the best big sister, The Toast and all you wonderful people who create for it, run it, and comment on it.

That is actually a very common biblical interpretation. Obviously the literal text is about a bride and groom, but it is often taken as a metaphor for the love between God and humanity

Every single Regency-era romance novel trope is my favorite thing in the world

More importantly, will you ever find out what the Ton are/is?
